Your hen do in St Leonards-on-Sea

A hen do doesn't need to be a blur of bars and early starts. Some of the best ones happen at home: everyone under one roof, a long dinner round a big table, and a slow morning in dressing gowns with nowhere to be.

A whole house, just for you

If you're planning a hen do near the sea, our three houses are on the East Sussex coast in St Leonards-on-Sea, just minutes from the seafront. Each one is big enough for the whole hen party, with plenty of bathrooms to go round and a hot tub for the evenings.

It's an easy hen do from London: around 90 minutes by train, so most of the group can arrive on Friday evening without taking a day off.

Where to stay for your hen do in East Sussex

Bring the celebration to you

Much of what makes a hen weekend special can come to the house, so no one has to organise taxis or split the group up.

Once you've booked, we'll send you the local people we know and trust for each of these.

Pampering

Mobile therapists set up in the house for massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. A slow afternoon of being looked after.

A private chef

A relaxed dinner cooked and served at your table, with nothing to wash up afterwards.

Activities

Cocktail classes, life drawing, dance lessons and other hosted activities that come to the house.

Full planning

If the organiser would rather not handle every detail, local planners can put the whole weekend together.

Yoga & sound baths

A gentle yoga class or a sound bath is a lovely way to start Saturday or wind down on Sunday. We recommend local practitioners who come to the house, and at Zanzibar House sessions can take place in the private basement studio.

How a hen weekend might go

Friday

Arrive in time to choose rooms and open something cold. A simple supper, then the hot tub while the last of the group arrives.

Saturday

A lazy breakfast, a walk along the seafront, then an afternoon of pampering or an activity at the house. A private chef in the evening, then the dancing starts.

Sunday

A late breakfast, one more go in the hot tub, and a wander through Hastings Old Town before everyone heads home.

If you'd like a night out

Hastings Old Town is full of independent shops, pubs and places to eat, and the seafront is lovely for a walk the morning after. St Leonards has a growing number of cafés, restaurants and bars if you'd like an evening out before heading back to the house.
